OMEGA’s new boutique at The Exchange TRX is Impressive
The doors of the OMEGA boutique at The Exchange, TRX, were officially opened at a star-studded grand opening event. Done in style, the new boutique was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Martin Issing, Vice President of OMEGA Malaysia, alongside Trevor Hill, General Manager of The Exchange TRX; and special guests and Friends of OMEGA, Marion Caunter and Jirayu Tangsrisuk also known as James Jirayu.
A big crowd gathered during the opening as fans were excited to see Thai actor and singer James Jirayu, who in 2023 became the first male Friend of OMEGA in Thailand. James Jirayu is celebrated for his roles in notable films and television dramas such as “Suphapburut Juthathep” (2013), “Krong Kam” (Repercussion) (2019), and most recently “Matalada” (To the Moon and Back), in which his performances have consistently captivated audiences.
“This new boutique truly showcases the legacy and elegance of OMEGA,” said Martin Issing, Vice President of OMEGA Malaysia. “I am thrilled to officially open the boutique and look forward to welcoming guests from Malaysia and all over the world.”
Situated at The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur’s newest and most vibrant lifestyle destination, the new boutique is set to become a beacon of luxury for both local enthusiasts and international visitors. This newest boutique is OMEGA’s first in Malaysia to feature an exclusive customer lounge.
In tribute to OMEGA’s relentless pursuit of excellence and rich heritage, the new boutique at The Exchange TRX harmoniously blends contemporary elegance with the legacy of OMEGA’s storied past. Customers feel delighted and appreciated here. They are greeted by a grand façade, featuring tall glass windows framed in elegant gold, which welcomes them into the inspiring space.

At the heart of the boutique, an elegant chandelier casts a warm glow, illuminating a central display that gracefully exhibits the latest of OMEGA’s offerings. The interior is accentuated with soft lighting and golden accents, creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the elegance of OMEGA’s timepieces.
The exclusive customer lounge catches the eye. This private space offers an intimate setting for clients to explore OMEGA’s exquisite collections and allows them to receive personalised consultations and services.

The Seamaster Aqua Terra Black Dial
The black dial never loses its magnificence. Throughout time, the black dial has remained a watchmaking favourite that expresses both simplicity and quiet luxury. This year, OMEGA continues that classic look in the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection, with three distinctive sizes, and glossy black dials that are enriched with a slick lacquered finish.
The Aqua Terra is known as a symbol of OMEGA’s ocean-inspired style, with a symmetrical design that is reminiscent of the brand’s heritage diving watches. The timepieces are modern in their own way, however, and combine Co-Axial Master Chronometer precision with integrated bracelets that feature redesigned rounded links for a contemporary and comfortable fit.
The OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Inspired by Armand “Mondo” Duplantis
Armand “Mondo” Duplantis is an athlete at the top of his sport. Not only is the Swedish pole vaulter the current World and Olympic champion, but on April 20th, he broke the World Record for an 8th time in his career – setting a new height of 6.24m.
For OMEGA, this extraordinary leap was considered the perfect moment to introduce a new Seamaster Aqua Terra inspired by the brand ambassador. Crafted in the blue and yellow colours of the Swedish flag, it features a number of exclusive details in celebration of Mondo’s achievements in athletics.
The 41 mm timepiece is presented in stainless steel and is worn on an integrated strap made from blue rubber with neat stitching in yellow, an OMEGA logo, and polished central links that beautifully complement the polished and brushed surfaces of the case. On the dial, OMEGA has delivered a subtle twist to the signature Aqua Terra style. While the blue surface is given a traditional opaline finish with horizontal stripes, the unique tributes to Mondo include a Seamaster name and quarter hour numbers in yellow. Most notably, the varnished central seconds hand is also in yellow and is crafted with a pole vault inspired shape, featuring Super-LumiNova on top to represent the grip of the pole. As precision has been critical throughout Mondo’s sporting journey, the watch is further equipped with a Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre, assuring the very height of accuracy, performance, and magnetic-resistance.
Armand Duplantis has been an OMEGA ambassador since 2020. In the four years since then, he has claimed multiple World and European Championships titles, and won his first Olympic Games gold medal in Tokyo. His progressive World Records show the unrelenting commitment he has to his sport, and prove there are always more boundaries to push. As Official Timekeeper of the Diamond League, OMEGA was at the latest meet in April, proudly measuring the 6.24m jump that Mondo accomplished in Xiamen, China.
