Honouring age-old traditions, the hotel presents festive menus that celebrate abundance and prosperity to welcome the Year of the Horse, and gracious togetherness throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Auspicious Gatherings at Lai Po Heen

At Lai Po Heen, Chinese New Year celebrations take centerstage with an elevated selection of auspicious set menus.
On Feb 16, Lai Po Heen will offer a special Chinese New Year set menu for reunion dinner with two seatings, the first one from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and a second seating from 8pm to 10pm. Dinner service remains from 6pm to 10.30pm on other dates.
On Feb 17, 18, 21 and 22, and on March 1, the restaurant’s lunch service will be served in two seatings, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and the second seating from 1pm to 2.30pm. Lunch seating will remain from 12pm to 2.30pm on other dates.
Toss to Prosperity
Traditionally enjoyed during Chinese New Year, Yee Sang symbolises prosperity, togetherness, and wishes for success and good fortune in the year ahead. At Lai Po Heen, this time-honoured tradition is elevated through six thoughtfully crafted Yee Sang variations, featuring gourmet delicacies such as lobster and caviar, two-head abalone, and soft-shell crab, available in half and full portions, priced from RM98 to RM988 nett.
Treasuring Reunions

At Lai Po Heen, Chinese New Year celebrations take centerstage with an elevated selection of auspicious set menus, a la carte specialties and dim sum, available until March 3, 2026, alongside the restaurant’s signature Treasure Pot offerings.
Meticulously prepared with premium ingredients such as six-head Australian abalone, Japanese dried scallop and fish maw, the Treasure Pot is ideal for festive reunions at the restaurant or at home through takeaway.
- CNY Treasure Pot (for 6 persons): From RM1,688 nett, with early bird purchase price from RM1,388 nett for confirmed orders made by Jan 31, 2026.
- CNY Supreme Treasure Pot (for 6 persons): From RM2,688 nett, with early bird purchase price from RM2,588 nett inclusive of a complimentary Chef’s Yee Sang for confirmed orders made by Jan 31.
The restaurant recommends ordering 48 hours in advance for the chefs to prepare the Treasure Pot.
Sharing Abundance
For seasonal gifting, The Mandarin Cake Shop presents a range of Chinese New Year hampers and festive delicacies for sharing and gifting.
Hampers containing signature Nian Gao cake, Mandarin and orange chocolate pralines, pineapple tarts, tea cake and more are priced from RM138 to RM1,388. A selection of a la carte festive treats including pralines, chocolates, cookies, nian gao, sauces and signature cakes are also available for takeaway.
Rituals to Revive and Renew
To celebrate the Year of the Horse, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Malaysia’s Best Hotel Spa for three years in a row, will feature a limited-edition energy renewal journey aptly named “The Fire Horse Revive Ritual.”
This 90-minute treatment consists of a 30-minute ginger exfoliating scrub infused with natural salt crystals and citrus oils to gently polish and soften the skin, followed by a 60-minute body massage using a “morning oil blend” of Rosemary, grapefruit and juniper, and an “evening oil blend” of patchouli, geranium and ylang ylang to uplift, clarify and strengthen the immune system.
