Thai Aromatherapy Massage – experienced by Sunita Chhabra

I tried the Thai Aromatherapy Massage and I must say that I was fully satisfied with it. It was held at THAI ODYSSEY at The Exchange 106. When I entered the place, I was immediately impressed by its ambience. It imparted a luxurious and inviting feel and I started feeling more relaxed as soon as I walked in.

Looking around appreciatively, I was drawn to the area displaying attractive products which we could buy and I was amazed at what they had to offer. The prices were attractive too and I knew that these were the kind of items anyone would love to take home with them or receive as gifts. I made a mental note to buy something soon and also tell my friends and acquaintances about what they could purchase here.

What I especially liked, amongst many other things, was their Aromatic Eye Pillow which comes with lavender rose geranium essential oil that rejuvenates the mind and the senses, giving anyone who uses it a good night’s sleep. Their body scrubs and essential oils are great buys too.

Welcoming and relaxing foot bath area

I then went to sit at a cosy area to wait for my therapist to come. A pleasant, soft spoken lovely person, she greeted me with an engaging smile when she came. I’ve found out her name is Pi Spy. She first led me to the foot bath area where after carefully giving me a refreshing, revivifying foot wash, she escorted me to one of their massage rooms. The massage room was a nice size and I liked its restful interior which puts one at ease immediately.

Earlier, they had asked me to pick from their range of pure massage oils and I chose one which at one whiff, intuitively told me was the one for me. They have different types of oils as everyone reacts in different ways to the essential oils and people have different tastes and preferences. With a variety of delightful ones to choose from, everyone can surely find one they will absolutely fall in love with.

Their line of massage oils are enriched with an aromatic blend of pure and natural essential oils. We found out that these have been fine-tuned with pro-environmental efforts in maintaining sustainability to protect the Mother Earth. The massage oils come in 6 different scents, each with unique attributes.

Awaken
Made with a mixture of mainly rosemary, lemon and juniper berry oils, Awaken enhances the detoxification process, which is absolutely perfect for anyone who needs a quick reboot. It helps to reduce fatigue and tiredness brought on by late nights, jet lag, hangovers or menstruation.
Balance
This helps to improve breathing and speed up the recovery of delicate or irritated skin with a combination of mostly jasmine, sage and geranium oil blends. It’s also able to aid in achieving hormonal balance during menstruation or menopause.
Calm
As the name itself suggests, Calm is a well-rounded remedy that helps to attain calmness, comfort, and relaxation while helping individuals to slow down and unwind with the soothing scents of mainly lavender, patchouli and palmarosa.
Comfort
This comforting essential oil has been delicately infused with a curated blend of mostly Thai plai, clove bud, and a dash of peppermint that has a cooling effect on sore, achy muscles. It is an ideal choice for those who are sporty or those deskbound individuals who suffer from overexertion, to find inner peace and tranquillity.
Signature
This unique essential oil is packed with the goodness of mainly rose damascena, rose geranium and cananga. This Signature oil of theirs contains powerful anti-ageing properties to help maintain youthful, glowing skin while improving circulation and sluggishness.
Soothe
Loved by many, this essential oil is soaked in a fusion of mostly Roman chamomile, rose geranium and frankincense that promotes healing of devitalised skin and the reduction of scars and stretch marks, which is certainly the best fix for moody and gloomy days. It’s also recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women!

Remarkable benefits to both physical and mental health are imparted by these oils. Apart from encouraging circulation, they also help to relax tight muscles and stimulate the mind towards a more positive direction.

My therapist used her wonderful healing and expert hands to give me a massage par excellence. She also was attentive to any concerns or needs I voiced. I really enjoyed and appreciated the combination of gentle muscle compression and natural healing scents that slowly brought my body and mind into a heavenly state of rest.

Thai Aromatherapy Massage

Pi Spy put the right amount of pressure on the different parts of my body and it was clear she was highly skilled at what she does. The neck, shoulder and head massage towards the end of my session put the perfect final touch to the whole experience. I am someone who finds it hard to unwind as I am always stressed and quite often suffer from anxiety. Being treated to this exceptional full body massage experience helped to awaken my mind and restore my balance. I truly felt energised and rejuvenated at the end of my treatment and the world felt like a wonderful place again.

I’ve told myself that I’ll certainly head to Thai Odyssey for massages from now on as they are an excellent investment for our mental and physical health.

Traditional Foot Massage – experienced by Rajeswari Kandiah

A massage can do wonders for a tired body, especially when the therapist has skilled hands. Many realise the benefits of a body massage but not all do this on a regular basis. I am one of them.

Recently, at the Thai Odyssey in The Exchange TRX, a pleasant and skilled therapist called Lim did her magic on me, After the massage involving the feet, and towards the end, the neck and head, I felt relaxed and pliant. Usually, this state of wellness lasts a day or two but after Lim’s administrations, I was feeling light for days. I realise now that the occasional massage is not the answer to treat tired muscles but requires regular care.

Lim using her skills to soothe Rajeswari’s tired muscles

Lim, as she asked to be called, started by washing my feet in warm water. She used a foot scrub that left my feet feeling clean and fresh. After that it was the massage for my legs and feet. Her touch was gentle yet firm. I could tell that she was skilled from the get-go. She knew when to increase the pressure and I was able to lie back and relax. Once both legs and feet were massaged, she moved on to my neck and then head. She again used firm movements to soothe away that weary feeling due to a stiff neck and tight shoulders.

When she was done, I was considering asking her to continue a little longer but knew that would be unfair to the other customers waiting their turn. The atmosphere in the room where comfortable deck chairs are used for the customers help add to the relaxing experience. I made a mental note to get regular massages after the experience at Thai Odyssey.

All in all, both Rajeswari and I had a wonderful experience at Thai Odyssey at The Exchange TRX and The Exchange 106. We went home feeling renewed and rejuvenated. We have also become firm believers in massages and will be recommending that everyone should go for these treatments regularly.
