Connective tissue is made up of bones and soft tissues, including fat, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, deep skin tissues and fibrous tissues. <br><br>Sarcoma can develop anywhere in the body where sarcoma tissues are present. <br><br><strong>There are two main types of sarcoma:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"685\" height=\"468\" src=\"https:\/\/wise-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6255\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wise-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image-3.png 685w, https:\/\/wise-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image-3-300x205.png 300w, https:\/\/wise-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image-3-600x410.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 685px) 100vw, 685px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>Two common types of sarcoma and their subtypes <\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Soft tissue sarcomas are more common and grow in fat, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and deep skin. They are the most common type. They account for about 80% of all sarcomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022Bone sarcomas grow in bones and cartilage.<br><br><strong>1. This may be because sarcomas often form during growth spurts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022<strong>Those with Family history: <\/strong>Families with rare cancer syndromes are more likely to get sarcomas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> \u2022<strong>Others:<\/strong> You\u2019re at higher risk if you\u2019ve had radiation therapy, a damaged lymph system or been exposed to certain chemicals.<br><br><strong>2. Sarcoma survival rates<\/strong><br><br>Survival rates depend on the type of sarcoma. They are higher when sarcoma starts in an arm or leg, and when the cancer is caught before it spreads.<br><br><strong>Soft tissue sarcoma:<\/strong> The survival rate is 83% if sarcoma is found before it spreads, according to the American Cancer Society. <br><br><strong>Bone sarcoma: <\/strong>The survival rate ranges from 76% to 91% if the sarcoma is caught before it spreads.<br><br>Survival rates are averages and can\u2019t predict the outcome for any one patient. <br><br><strong>3.
