This results in widespread inflammation causing many tissues to be affected. Researchers hypothesise that the hormone oestrogen may be a contributing factor in causing lupus. The ultimate goal is to <strong>induce remission.  <\/strong><br>\u2022Treating lupus <strong>often requires a team approach <\/strong>because of the number of organs that can be affected.
